Arizona State Senator for District 23 - Election 2022

Put common sense back on the table. Level the playing field and keep partisanship from taking us down the rabbit hole:

  • Secure international border
  • Legal immigration and work visa programs
  • Protect law-abiding gun owners, while keeping weapons from those who would harm others
  • Increase online protection for ourselves, our elections, and businesses

Healthcare

  • Combat the opioid epidemic, enact a “Good Samaritan” law immediately
  • Increase flexibility, expand choices, lower premiums of healthcare insurance plan
  • Elevate price transparency for service providers
  • Foster competition among providers and insurance companies

Workforce and Business Development

  • Eliminate unnecessary regulations
  • Incentivize businesses to invest in people and technology
  • Increase the attractiveness of Arizona as a community for startups
  • Promote public-private partnerships
  • Improve the access and quality of government services to businesses

Education

  • Consolidate school districts while reducing the average class size and increasing teacher autonomy
  • Increase district funds spent in classrooms to 70 percent

ABOUT ME

My father was a Republican, and my mother was a Democrat. I grew up hearing opposing opinions, respecting each, and thinking about alternatives that would satisfy both parents. As an independent, without a party to restrain me, I will take positions that may not fit either party's ideological framework, but make sense for Arizona. I will be a catalyst for legislation that puts problem-solving ahead of partisan maneuvering. I will seek solutions that are informed by data as well as traditions.
