Hillary Clinton just detailed her sweeping vision to address climate change at a campaign stop in Iowa. As part of her plan, Clinton intends to install 500 million solar panels and secure clean energy sources for all American homes.
While Hillary's praise of renewable energy as the key to an environmentally-friendly future certainly aligns with the Left's position on energy and the environment, her donation records tell a different story. Hillary's personal campaign and affiliated Super PAC's have all accepted contributions from the so-called "dirty" oil industry. Since 2008, Hillary Clinton has benefited from over $640,000 in donations from industry leaders like Chevron, Exxon, and BP.
According to our analysis of FEC campaign records, Exxon has donated the most to the Clinton campaign with nearly $50,000 in donations. They're followed by Chevron, Shell, Marathon, and BP.
