All campaigns need seed money at some point. But when it comes to Monsanto, the largest seed producer in the world, which politicians receive the most in contributions?

According to FEC data, midwestern members in the House of Representatives top the list with Congressman Collin Peterson (D-MN) receiving the most, followed by Bennie Thompson (D-MS), William Clay (D-MO), and House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH). Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) was the only member from the upper chamber to make the list, reporting the second highest amount of contributions.
