National elections are often discussed in terms of states--red states, blue states, and swing states. But cities as well have their own political pulse. Using data on political donations, we determined the Crowdpac scores of the most liberal and conservative cities in America.
First, we pulled data on the most liberal and conservative cities with more than 1,000 individual donations. This search resulted in largely small to mid-sized cities, as these often have more extreme scores than larger cities. Next, we narrowed the search to include major cities with the most contribution counts. Our results include the most liberal and conservative cities of both sizes. Check out the following slides for complete lists of these results.
