Zephyr Teachout, an author and activist who has made eliminating big money in politics a centerpiece of her campaign for New York’s 19th Congressional District, has raised 63.31% of her campaign contributions from small dollar donors - the highest of candidate in the country.

At the state level, Shenna Bellows, who unsuccessfully challenged Olympia Snowe for her US Senate seat in 2014, has raised 44.7% of her campaign contributions from small dollar donors in her quest for a seat in Maine's State Senate - more than any other state legislative candidate in the country.
