Why you should support Elizabeth Guzman

For far too long our leadership in Richmond has had misplaced priorities. Many of our elected officials in the House of Delegates would rather try and pass legislation that score points with their ideological base than provide solutions for their constituents. Many of our delegates represent an electorate in Prince William County that existed decades ago rather than the dynamic, diverse communities that live in the county today.

Worse yet, many of them accept campaign donations from corporations that do not have the same interests as working Virginians; as a result, these elected officials are locked into a system in which they have to prioritize the wants of their donors over the needs of their districts.

All of the above is politics as usual, and things don't have to be that way.

The Prince William Progress Coalition was founded on the idea that our elected officials should represent the communities they serve. That means being accountable to citizens rather than corporations, and serving the needs of their constituents rather than party-line ideology. It means real reforms in the realms of Criminal Justice, Education, Worker Protections and Responsibility in Governance.

It also means pooling together resources in order to get candidates elected who actually represent the diversity and backgrounds of working Virginians who live in Prince William and beyond.

Donating to the coalition isn't just supporting our campaigns, it's buying a stake in progress for the Commonwealth.

It's time to fight for progress. Are you in?

“I support the Prince William coalition because I don't believe that the Republican-held state legislature should only feel they are accountable to special interests and their republican constituents. I'm a resident of this county and this state, and I want delegates who will look out for all Virginians.”

  • Maureen Brown-Petracca endorsed

“I support the Prince William Progress Coalition because we need elected official who fully represent the diversity within Prince William County.”
