Enroll America, a non-profit, non-partisan 501c(3) organization, was launched in 2011 with the goal of helping uninsured Americans enroll in and retain health coverage made available through the Affordable Care Act. Since then, incredible progress has been made. 22 million Americans have found coverage through the Affordable Care Act.
This includes Americans like Kim Jones from Wake Forest, NC, who – after going for some time without insurance – heard about the Affordable Care Act in 2013, sat down with an assister and got enrolled. In 2014, she visited a doctor and found out she had a tumor on her brain – in August of that year, she had brain surgery to remove the tumor at UNC Chapel Hill. At the time, she told one of our staff in North Carolina that “the Affordable Care Act insurance saved my life.”
So for all of the Kim’s across the country, we at Enroll America are going to continue to work 24/7 to spread the word about the Affordable Care Act, the financial assistance available, and the fact that as of now, nothing has changed. There are many questions about what is to come with the future of the Affordable Care Act. One thing in our control right now is to help as many Americans as possible enroll during this enrollment period – which is happening now through January 31.
Enroll America has one mission: supporting uninsured Americans in enrolling and retaining health coverage made available through the Affordable Care Act. Any funds raised will go toward that mission, through our work to support community based organizations in their direct outreach and enrollment efforts, our consumer facing tools, and our resources to answer questions for consumers. This work is only more important now that many consumers are confused about their coverage options.

Thank you to all who have contributed to our campaign. Your contributions have made an impact and last week, in advance of the December 15 deadline to enroll for health coverage starting January 1, we saw an unprecedented enrollment surge. In fact, President Obama announced on Friday that Thursday saw the largest number of enrollees at healthcare.gov in a single day since the Health Insurance Marketplace launched in 2013. Wow!
I can think of no stronger statement about how much these coverage opportunities mean to so many. Thank you for your support and allowing us to do the work community by community of supporting Americans through the enrollment process.
