Bringing the New Frontiers to the DNC - #DNCFuture

This campaign was closed on April 25, 2017 and is no longer collecting donations.
Thank you to everyone - because of your support we brought 9 incredible resistance groups to meet with members and the room was packed. You can watch the event here: https://www.facebook.com/TYTpolitics/videos/1822943651286675/
Honestly, we have Idaho looping with #ResistTrumpTuesdays, Georgia with Sister District, Wyoming with People for Bernie, California with the Womens March, New Jersey with Rise Stronger, Indiana with Run for Something, California with #BlackLivesMatter, North Dakota wants to host the next Arena Summit.....
I cannot explain how amazing it was to see these groups connect. And we will keep going.
I lost. I came in 3rd -I got 193.5 of the vote count - Congresswoman Grace Meng 216.5 came in second and Maria Elena Durazo with 228.5.
I then went into the 3rd round with the men - and dropped out to endorse Michael Blake who became the third Vice Chair. You can watch the whole thing here: https://www.democrats.org/page/dnc-future-forum-livestream
We also had a tech round table, with 50 attendees - and I have to say DNC members left saying it was one of the best events they have been to with clear follow up and substantive conversation. Huge thanks to everyone who put it together.
It really was an amazing experience and we did a lot. Also let's be clear - this is just the beginning. I am committed to helping the Democratic party win, and meet with these organizations and elevate technology.... so - I am going to Colombia for a week and then when I get back we are getting started. I have already had 5 states ask me to help them organize similar pannels and round tables for the members in state - so yes some $$$ to help get folks there will be key....
Stay tuned for updates on how you can all help and how we win, and how we keep going and fighting
with love for everything

“I am endorsing Liz for Vice Chair of the DNC because the election of Donald Trump proves two things: 1) Those who ran and run the Democratic party then and now are not capable or willing to get progressive pro-worker candidates elected. 2) Cleary staying the course is not an acceptable option, as over the last 8 years over 1 thousand conservative Republicans were elected at every level of Govt. I am supporting Liz and her peers as they are willing and able to put real progressive pro-worker candidates in office.”

“I have always tried to be an informed voter, participating in local, state, and national elections from the time I've been eligible. My parents, and particularly my mother, have been lifelong democrats. Unfortunately, I lost interest in keeping that allegiance as the party has swung heavily towards Corporatism and other distasteful ideologies. After this last election I've decided it's time to get involved beyond just voting and change this thing from the inside. It doesn't help to vote when I don’t see redeeming qualities in the available candidates. I fully believe this is the time for the Democratic Party to transform, not stick with the same failed tactics. Listening to Liz campaign for DNC Vice Chair has earned her my support. I believe Vice Chair is the perfect spot for Liz to use her unique skill set to back-up the DNC Chair, and Party as a whole. Let’s move forward and include every progressive in the process, not just a select group of insiders with stale strategies.”

“I was at the Houston DNC Future Forum listening to each vice chair candidate speak and Liz Jaff stood out as a voice of level headed reason and practicality. She spoke about realistic obstacles the party faces and with each problem she gave solutions. The DNC needs leaders that are able to come to the table with substantive solutions, Liz Jaff is that leader we need.”

“Of all the candidates I heard speaking at the DNC Forum in Houston, she alone spoke to the empowerment of the people. She alone spoke about the use/integration of current web-tech and crowd-sourcing to aid the party in capturing and reaching out to voters and constituents in a way that hasn't been done before. She alone had actual solutions for increasing transparency and open communication within the party that could be implemented within the year. Her passion and enthusiasm stood out among everyone gathered on the stage that day and it was matched by her knowledge about strengthening the currently weakened party. It was clear to all listening that she was head and shoulders above her peers when it came to knowledge about voter outreach, campaign financing/funding, and voter empowerment. If there was a person to be trusted with spearheading the new direction of the party, she was that person. She inspired me, a person who's never been politically involved, to seek out and join my local democratic party and get involved. Regardless of the outcome of the Vice Chair campaign, I am behind this incredibly vibrant, intelligent, and strong-willed woman. Thanks for running for Vice Chair Liz Jaff!”
