Guadalupe García de Rayos is a mother of two who came to the US when she was 14 years old. Nine years ago, Sheriffs carrying out an unconstitutional raid led by Arizona’s Arpaio arrested her for working to support her family. She spent six months in ICE detention before being released to her family, and now -- she is being deported from the country.
Angel, 16, and Jacqueline, 14, her two kids, grew up with the fear of Arpaio's racially motivated reign and although a federal judge declared Arpaio’s raids unconstitutional, that went out the door when Trump came into power. Under his executive order, Lupita's will be the first of many families to be ripped apart.
I don't live in Arizona -- but I believe this is part of the resistance. To all you ladies that came out to march -- this is your call, too. Remember: an injustice to one of us is an injustice to all of us. We won't let Trump rip this family apart.
Please pledge your support here -- your credit card will only be charged if she needs the funds to pay for legal/attorney/court fees. I want Guadalupe and her family to know that these funds are here to help when/if they ever need them.
