“I am an optometrist who spends an enormous amount of time dealing with all the health insurance schemes with which this country is inundated. The ACA is based on employer based private insurance plans which makes the US healthcare system one of the most expensive systems in the world. As a result, we pay 3 TRILLION dollars every year for our health care. Medicare ( our single payer system) is more than 30% more efficient than the rest of our private insurance based health care finance system. If we were to extend Medicare to all citizens, we would thus save about 1/3 of our healthcare costs or 1 TRILLION dollars every year. In addition, extending Medicare to our younger citizens would make Medicare even more cost effective because younger citizens use healthcare services less than older citizens. Congress has not seriously considered Medicare for all because the insurance companies have bribed congress with hundreds of millions of dollars to maintain their dominance of our health care system. Shame on Congress. Shame on Paul Ryan who wants to privatize all of our healthcare financing. Many other countries pay one half or less than we do for their health care. We can join the rest of the world to make healthcare a right and not a privilege as Bernie Sanders has been saying for many years.”

“I endorse and support Medicare for All, because even though as a veteran I don't have to worry about a lot, I learned from my loved ones that they are being ripped off, by price-gouging of the big drug and insurance corporations. Then I found we are far behind than all other industrialized countries in treating our people because of it. Then I looked at the math, and saw those same countries were in 'fact' prospering instead of going broke and dying from not pooling our actions and vast wealth for healing our people and faults. Yet they use of the same Medicare For All that we reject, only as result of those who are in political power, who are working for corporations that push them to ignore their oaths that our tax dollars pay them to keep. As an oath keeper for military action, OSHA inspector, and others, I know what it means to use those skills to help people, and any violation of that oath harms both me and them. As one who visited many countries and became 'intimate' with their people, I know those with "Medicare for All" are much happier and a lot deeper, more loving, passionate and alive than the people in 'this' country are. And they are far more 'engaged' and knowledgeable about their political representatives, structures, and options within their government. Regardless of occupation, discussion of politics is a major desire and regarded as a duty among those outside us here. But all that adds up to is that you are changed from knowing what is beyond your realm of knowledge, environment, and experience. And it's a good change, when you see our people become enslaved, addicted, murdered, targeted for extinction, waters polluted, health care denied, prices determined by whatever the richest among us can pay. You are changed when you know people world wide don't act or treat each other this way. And you never go back to chasing or worshiping only money. You learn that the way to wealth is through life and people, and health and preserving the nutrients of what little fertile land, waters and seeds there is left. You learn those things if you become intimate with life. Everyone betraying life only makes those lessons shine with fervor and stregnth. Because everyone is born with 'empathy'. And despite what Rand Paul preaches and forces his interns to learn, that same empathy is what leads to healthy Earth that he pollutes with his service to the Koch brothers and A.L.E.C. He preaches ''Ayn Rand". And she is a Fascist who preaches hate for empathy, equality, and freedom based on those things you are born with. It's the opposite of what Jesus or Buddha, or Socialism, but it's main enemy she and they choose is "Democracy". They being those who believe as Hitler believed, and Mussolini wrote: The definition of Fascism is the merger of corporation and government". Well now we have that, and so we must act as revolutionaries in spirit and mind first, and practical application as we do that. Ten times the work we would have had, if we simply used our smart phones to read up on who these people are. These ideologies. Our own government. It's ok, we 'can' learn now. But just so we don't repeat the mistake - If we had chosen to learn about what is harming us, we would know what makes people choose criminal life-styles a lot sooner - and before they did. And before they do. Because we are those people who chose not or too commit our crimes, desperate acts, acts of passion, stress, oppression and ignorance mostly. I'm also endorsing this because I was fortunate enough to meet a lot of people who fight this fight without you. I walked with them, listened, learned, saw for myself the math arguments, and that shows you any lie presented to you by double talking charts and slick statements that are rehearsed to sound like truth, confidence, etc. If the math don't add up, or at least appraoch the same direction after multiple tests we do 'with' math, time, history, tragectory, prescedence diagrams and charts, then it's not WISE to follow it then is it? So do the math, recommend AMA, AARP, Nurses Association, and all the largest organizations that 'CARED' for you with positive results throughout life. Back before you learned to care for yourself, and how to stregnthen your immune system, and eat right, and come out of the cold and rain or avoid hypothermia that throws you into a flu. I have many reasons for supporting continued support not just begining support of the truth, in all things if you are mature, loving, honest with yourself - then you are truly "alive". Then you truly love others, love landscapes, love color, breezes, the sounds of life be it cities or country living. No it's not a tangent, its just beyond these words to say. That's why we must 'experience' the results of activism, by learning the power it's already taught us, instead of feeding ourselves the thoughts of nothing changes. Your whole life is a story of change, if it were not then you would not still be alive. Cells grow, mature, change, body only safe to travel after it's 'built' it's immune system from infant, to toddler, to child, etc. The only thing that does not change is truth. Deception is distracting us from it. Life is truth but cant be appreciated if you are dead. Democracy is life, if you respect that you must balance your bodies chemistry, heartbeat, nutrition, sleep, and balance your work with your play, relaxation, stress relief. Neighborhood must balance enough to be safe to go in and out. Family must be balanced enough for us to still do our own thing and support ourselves. And they 'all' mature, change too. If they don't you end up where? In jail, dead, harmed, hospital, negative existence. No? But the truth don't change. It only becomes clearer. Only shows you your choices from paying attention to it instead of those deceiving you enough to lure you away from life. That life which allows you to even know a fact of life or truth of life, denied because we are lured away with tellievision without critical thinking or duty to test and ask questions and compare what they are saying and not saying with our own library in our pockets. Mental, physical, spiritual health. Longevity, more brains needed unified on the actions that make positive change. Same for the main core issue of the Kochs and ALEC mentioned.
