Fed up with corruption and corporate control of the judiciary? Want to get revenge for the stolen U.S. Supreme Court seat?

Few cases ever get heard in the Supreme Court. In fact, only about 1% of cases appealed to SCOTUS even get a hearing - making lower courts, such as state supreme and superior courts, the final arbiter of most cases.

In Michigan, that has meant bad news for crime victims, working people, advocates for justice, and so many others - all of whom have suffered due to dubious rulings from what has been called one of the most corrupt state courts in the entire country.

Justice 4 Michigan is fighting back.

A project of the Michigan Democratic Party Justice Caucus, Justice 4 Michigan will be working hard throughout the next 18 months to ensure that justice-minded candidates are elected to Michigan's highest court. To do that, we plan to recruit staff and volunteers in all 83 counties to help spread the word about the importance of voting in the nonpartisan section of the ballot.

It's a project we call the Supreme Challenge - and we need your help to make it a success.

While the political parties nominate candidates for state Supreme Court, candidates run on the nonpartisan section of the ballot, meaning that a straight-ticket Democratic vote won't benefit them like it will benefit other candidates. Because of this, there's an enormous drop-off of votes from the top of the Democratic ticket to the Supreme Court races.

With your help, Justice 4 Michigan will help educate voters throughout Michigan on the importance of voting in the nonpartisan section of the ballot - and voting for candidates who care about people over corporations.

We've successfully elected progressives to the state's highest court before, most recently in 2014. In 2018, we can do it again by taking the newfound energy among progressives and bringing it to the doorsteps of progressive voters throughout the state.
