In May of 2016, a group of Republicans gathered at the St. Regis Hotel in D.C. and decided that principles were more important than party in the 2016 presidential election.  From a shared vision, and a few glasses of wine, Republican Women for Hillary was born.

Between addressing the Democratic National Convention to having fun with mean tweets on Samantha Bee, working in battleground states and hosting networking events, we fought hard until November when America finally made its decision.

Ultimately, things didn’t turn out as we had hoped, but we realized that there was a need, more than ever, for our brand of modern, forward-thinking Republicanism.

If the Party of Lincoln is to continue to exist, we must ditch antiquated social ideals and separatism, develop a space for progressive dialogue, and work towards creating constructive policies instead of pushing political agendas. Enter Republican Women for Progress.

Republican Women for Progress (RWFP) is a grassroots policy organization providing Republican women with a voice through thought leadership in the media, connecting women on the state and national level through social networks and events, and serving as a clearinghouse for educational and training opportunities to engage women in American politics and civic dialogue.

We believe that Republican women deserve to speak up, not stand aside.  That we need to connect better, smarter.  That being engaged in American politics is mission critical.

“I support Republican Women for Progress because the Republican party is not self-sustaining the way it currently operates and envisions the future of our great nation. Progressive conservative women are necessary for the New Republic Party to form around a broader platform.”
