Montgomery County, Maryland, is at a crossroads.  Decades of influence by developer money have resulted in unsustainable growth. We have the most overcrowded schools in the state, a Metro system that is declining and in need of money, and housing that is ever more expensive.  Congestion on our streets grows ever worse.

The County is now a majority-minority county.  Immigration has transformed the county. One result has been that the county is now as segregated as it has ever been, divided between a wealthy, predominantly white western half and a poorer, minority eastern half.

Tim believes that if we are to have a community that is sustainable, prosperous and just we must provide for all of our residents.  We must build a resilient, green economy boosted by local financial institutions, that offers everyone the opportunity for a quality education and a good job.  We must reign in the poorly planned growth that threatens the quality of life in the county; and we must create a sustainable, green economy based on renewable energy.

The Green Party does not take any money from corporations, unions or PACs. Tim will be a candidate that the voters can trust will always represent their health, safety, and civil rights first.  We can bring local, long-term, proven solutions without compromising for industry or corporate short-term profits.  Donations up to $150 will help Tim get matching funds from the County so that he can run a competitive race.
