The people of Colorado's 4th Congressional District need a representative who understands their specific needs and values. They need someone who will stand up for the little guy and support rural America, the backbone that this great country was built on.

A veteran and a veterinarian

Chase is originally from a small town in northwestern Indiana. Growing up in a rural area gave him an understanding and appreciation of hard work and the importance of agriculture to the economy.

His father was a Sheriff's office detective for 37 years. His mother worked as an occupational therapist at a local hospital, and his stepfather worked for the phone company for his entire career.  Chase was raised with the strong values of small town America that have formed his character.

He pursued his education at Michigan State University, earning a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.  Chase then worked for the equine department at Washington State University before continuing on to work as a large animal veterinarian in South Carolina, New Mexico and Utah.

Fulfilling a lifelong desire to serve his country, Chase joined the US Army Reserve in 2009. He has served in the Civil Affairs community his entire time in the Army, with assignments to units in Utah, California, and Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  In 2012 Chase deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, assigned to an Agriculture Development Team, earning the Bronze Star. He spent his time in Afghanistan working with local farmers and herders to increase their crop outputs and health of their herds. Currently he is assigned to the 440th Civil Affairs Battalion in Fort Carson, Colorado and holds the rank of Major.

Chase owns a veterinary practice based out of Castle Rock, CO. He makes farm calls to his client's homes and ranches serving their large animal livestock.  Chase lives in Castle Rock with his daughters Elle and Frankie and wife Amberlie, who also serves as a Captain in the US Army Reserve. He is proud to call Colorado his home and looks forward to the opportunity to represent the people of the 4th Congressional District.

“Dr. Kohne's military service, personal ties to the challenges and opportunities of rural communities, and his respected reputation are appealing. Both to longtime Democrats and to Unaffiliated voters who tell me they seek those values in a new generation of trustworthy leadership.”

  • Patty Lampman endorsed

“I support Chase Kohne because his values and integrity are something we need in Congress. We need more people working for the people and not corporations and big money.”

  • ANNE BERGEN-TAYLOR endorsed

“We now have a rubber stamp congressman who does not reflect the thoughtful and patriotic constituency of the fourth.Chase represents the values and service we believe in.”

  • Jeanna Brewer endorsed

“Chase Kohne is the representative CD4 deserves. Honesty and integrity have been missing from our district for too long. It's time to elect a representative, not just another politician who is good at following the party line. Chase is ready to serve CD4 and represent those of us who live here in Colorado, not just those at the top or those in Washington whose interests are short sited and sometimes shallow.”

  • Cindy Lawson endorsed

“I endorse Chase Kohne because he is smart, hardworking, honest and a fine example of the kind of leadership I'd like to see in this country.”

  • Allison Rose endorsed

“I endorse Chase Kohne because I believe strongly in his platforms, which include prioritizing the environment and renewable energy and keeping the Affordable Care Act intact.”

  • Jeff Rice endorsed

“Our current representative has clearly shown that, despite residence in Weld County, he has little knowledge and less interest in agriculture, water, medical care, law enforcement, and other issues rural Colorado struggles with. If there's a Democrat who understands even one of those issues, he's a better bet that what we have now.”

  • Shaun Sindelman endorsed

“CD4 needs someone like Chase who can appeal to the needs and concerns of those both in the metro areas as well as the rural ones.”
