I ran for this seat in 2014 and garnered 37%.  I ran for this seat again in 2016 and garnered 43%.  My third run in 2018, with the same margin of increase, will be my WIN!

Senator Fran Millar holds this seat in Senate District 40.  Senate District 40 is in the 6th Congressional District of Georgia, where Congressman Tom Price, appointed as Health and Human Services Secretary to the Trump Administration, recently served.  Senator Millar has served in the Georgia State Legislature since 1999 and recently made the following comment about the 6th Congressional District being gerrymandered for Democrat, Jon Ossoff, NOT to win:  “I’ll be very blunt: These lines were not drawn to get Hank Johnson’s protégé to be my representative. And you didn’t hear that.  They were not drawn for that purpose, OK? They were not drawn for that purpose.”

Senator Millar voted for the death penalty to be applied even in non-unanimous jury rulings, voted for welfare drug testing, voted for a requirement that the Georgia State Capitol needed to have a monument of the Ten Commandments, voted to try and make picketing a corporation illegal, voted for bills to require English to be the official language of the state, and voted for a law to allow for Christians to legally discriminate against gay people.  He also made the following comment about African Americans and the right to vote:  “I would prefer more educated voters than a greater increase in the number of voters. If you don’t believe this is an efort [sic] to maximize Democratic votes pure and simple, then you are not a realist. This is a partisan stunt and I hope it can be stopped. Furthermore I don’t control where people are allowed to vote but am glad Brookhaven has been added for the last week.”

We must have better representation in the Georgia Legislature and we are only 7% away from sending Senator Millar packing!  Please donate to my campaign.

“I live in another state, but I have concerns for the welfare of Americans all over our nation. Ms. Johnson-Shealey shares my concerns, particularly regarding voting restrictions. We need smart, driven and truthful people in DC to remind the current "reps" who it is they serve. This means protecting the rights and welfare of all citizens regardless of how much they can earn or where they happen to have found an affordable place to live.”
