Antoinette Sedillo Lopez is a 14th generation New Mexican running for Congress in New Mexico's 1st district. She's a longtime community leader who has tackled the critical social, economic, environmental, and civil rights challenges facing the lives of all New Mexicans. After serving as a Law Professor at UNM for more than twenty-five years—including eight years as Associate Dean—she most recently was the executive director of a non-profit serving victims of domestic violence in the Latino immigrant community of Central New Mexico. From her time as law professor, overseeing the legal clinic and expanding legal aid services, to her time working with some of New Mexico's most vulnerable immigrant communities, Antoinette's career has been devoted to confronting the social, economic and environmental injustices in New Mexico. Her years of community involvement and legal expertise exceptionally qualify her to serve in Congress and stand up to the Trump administration.
