My name is Miguel Zuñiga.  I'm a Father of 2 amazing kids and been married for over a dozen years. I'm a 22 year Costco Employee. I'm also a compassionate activist. I  became a Bernie Delegate and put in the fight of my life in Philly. Only to be rigged, mistreated, and demoralized by the "Party of the People." So I left. The Hypocracy of Democracy alone was  enough for me to go build a party with morals. One that leads by example. A party funded by the people, instead of being bought by the corporations.

#CountryBeforeParty

I went Green like so many. Now I'm running for Congress for the simple reason that neither party is representing the Middle Class and the Poor.

I'm talking about ideas. We're the only campaign talking about Homeless Prevention. We're taking a stand against Gentrification. We need to shift the ratio of Renters to Homeowners. With comprehensive Home loans for people with bad credit but strong work security.

We're the only campaign in the CD-43 race, that has actively canvassed for SB-562, Single Payer Healthcare in Cali. The only one that has openly and repeatedly stated how important it is to pass Single Payer Healthcare.

We're the only candidate in the race that is willing to give back 25% of their Congressional Salary and invest it back in our District.

I'm not a Politician, I'm a Person prepared to do a Politicians job! They have refused to represent the People over the Corporations that have bought them.

What we'll bring to the table? We will fight for #ElectionIntegrity. We will continue to fight for #SinglePayerNow. We will push for #UniversalBasicIncome. We will push for Startup Funding for Coops. Every city of my district should have one or more #CommunityGardens. #FreeBasicWiFi in each city. I will push to over turn Citizens United. Expanding Social Security

An Upset I'm the Making...

According to the Mailing Votes, the Democrats have mailed in over 90k votes. The Republicans have just over 20k votes and NPP have over 33k votes. Basically, Maxine is gauranteed a spot in the top 2. So if we all vote for me, we have a chance of elimanating all the Republicans.

We're on the Ballot!

After many hours of collecting signatures, donating, and getting the message out. We have officially made the ballot. The People of District 43 will have an option for Single Payer Healthcare. They will have a chance to shift the Renters to Homeowners. We will have someone who wants to replace the Freeway Ramps with roofs. They will have an option for a Congressmen who wants to give back 25% of his Congressional salary and invest it in our district.

This option has taken no Corporate Funding. Will fight for Election Integrity. Will fight and be the Voice for the poor, the homeless, the Veterans, the LGBTQ, the Dreamers, the BLM, and anyone who continues to be silenced in this Hypocrisy of Democracy.

It's time to put a Heart in the Machine. On June 5th, vote Green, feel Clean, and put your Heart in the Machine too!!

I've been Gentrified!

I recently had plumbing issues that had caused internal water damage. My landlord figured that if she has to invest in such a repair, she might as well cash in on it too. The average rent in my area is now 6 to 8 hundred more for less property. As expected this last week I have been given a 2 month notice to exit my rental property.

This is the reality of our district. I'm far from alone. The homeless population is increasing at extreme levels to prove it. We must have compassionate legislation to shift the number of renters to owners. Programs that protect and defend the less fortunate from ending up in the streets.

How? With the Prefinance Home Loan. Under this plan, 20% of foreclosed homes would qualify for this program. Remember when the Democrats bailed out the banks? After they overspent their commissions from all the predatory loans that caused the Housing Market Bubble to burst. Well it's their turn to bail out the people they put on the streets.

The way it works. We would evaluate your current situation. Let's say you have bad credit and you're 25k in debt, but you've been working at your job for 5+ years. After qualifying, we find out you can afford payments on 160k. So now we find a house that foreclosed at 110k, but is valued at 195k. Now we take your 25k debt and throw it in with the equity of the home. Now the loan is at 135k and we'll add 10k for closing fees, making your total of 145k. Now the creditors all get paid in full. You have a home and no longer in credit debt. Your credit score starts to rise. You have equity, where in a few years you can refinance and the bank that did the loan gets paid in full.

Now if you don't pay and foreclose, I'm sorry, but I can only do so much. The bank will foreclose your property and still have enough value to make a profit of the next sell. Everyone wins.

Back to my family possibly being on the streets... We have found a home near by, but will be paying hundreds more a month just to stay in the neighborhood I call home.

Voice for the Voiceless.

Both major parties have many things in common, but the biggest coincidence is their lack of representing their very own demographic. Examples, Republicans claim to want less government and more self reliance. Yet, they are told to read some lips, right before we're all hit with the biggest indivual tax increase in history, by Bush Sr..

Democrats claim to be the biggest fighters for Immigration reform. Yet own the record for the most deportations by the Deporter in Chief Obama.

As a matter of fact, how many promises for the people have they actually kept? Democrats refuse to support Single Payer Healthcare here in California and claim they want to pass the best "Affordable Care Acts" which if you can't afford, you get taxed 1000 dollars out of your tax returns, no wonder the insurer numbers went up. Republicans biggest argument for not supporting single payer is that they don't want to pay for our insurance and that they can pay for their own. Ironically, go look at how many Republicans are on GoFundMe asking us to pay for their medical bills?!?! Yes we a small increase to our work tax, but we eliminate the Insurance company who's responsible for saving no lives, more like costing them. Remember, an insurance agent doesn't even place a band aid on you, but they can determine whether you get covered or can afford your life saving treatment.

Greens get blamed for "splitting" votes. Our party isn't corporate funded, like the 2 that represent the Insurance lobby and Big Oil, over their constituents. Our party isn't the one writing bills to spy on us. Our party isn't making decisions that our damaging our planet. Our party isn't profiting from prisons. Our party isn't rigging elections.

Actually, our party is fighting to fix all these crimes the 2 party Duopoly has created. Our party is the only party that truly has the interest of the people at heart.

Let's talk about Homeless Prevention and "Prefinancincing Homes", instead of gentrification and bank bail outs. What's wrong with Solar and Wind vs Fracking and Oil? Let's start investing in Co-op businesses.

A new approach vs the business as usual. I'm 100% funded by the People and that's who our campaign belongs too. The Working Class, the LGBTQ, the Dreamers, the Homeless, our Veterans, Black Lives, Indigenous, and our Planet will all have a voice behind our Campaign. A LOUD Voice.

From Costco to Congress

I've been working for 22 years at the Costco in the city of Hawthorne. If you've been a regular at this store, then you probably know who I am. I may of drawn a happy face for your child on a receipt. I may of recommended you some electronics or jewelry. I may of rang you up in a line, that was a lot faster than it looked. I've had 5 Appreciation write ups. These are giving to employees who received compliments all the way to corporate. How does this help me in politics? It shows my compassion to want to help at every level and my loyalty to a company who has treated me above average. I truly enjoy helping people. I have over 400 coworkers that will vouch for me too.

When I get home I invest in my family and our campaign. I don't sleep. I'm out collecting signatures to be on the ballot with less than 10 volunteers. With Endorsements from Revolutionary Funding, Gayle McLaughlin's Corporate Free Slate, and more to be announced. All accomplished with less than a thousand dollars raised. Proud to not be Corporate funded and a true representative of the poor and the working class. It's obvious that I represent the working class, since a young age when I helped my mom sell oranges on the street corner.

The reason I'm running for Congress is simple. I represent the working class. A class that is struggling to pay the rent. A class that's fading while waiting for the economy to trickle down. A class that is the legs of the Corporations, but can barely afford shoes. A class that soon won't be able to afford their children a Charter pass to attend a Class. A Class that continues to pay taxes to send their loved ones to kill and be killed in the name of greed and power.

The majority of our district is made up of this class. This class that has no idea how powerful it can be in a United voice. This is the opportunity to be represented by a Person, not a Politician. A Person that welcomes you to the table. A Person that feels the same pain. A Person who  is prepared to vote in favor of the People over the Corporations.

For a Corporation, Costco has treated me well. As far as Congress? I guarantee that I will treat you better!

Our Campaign well lead with Love and Compassion.

Money Out of Politics?

So many keep talking about taking money out of politics. Let's go over what this means. It means not voting or backing an Establishment Politician that is in bed with the worst lobbyists.

The Democrats voted to keep money in politics. One of the many reasons I left the party.  So if the people want the lobby money out and the party voted against the people's wishes, why support their candidates that are paid to ignore your needs?

In order to take money out of politics we must unfortunately compete with the politicians swimming in blank checks. This means you still have to donate, but make sure you make it count on someone that will represent you and isn't taking lobbied money.

I went Green, a party that doesn't accept corporate funding.  So I'm heavily relying on small business, the middle class, the poor, and all the people that feel neglected by this current duopoly.

As a person representing the people, do you really trust the decisions of our future on an experienced Establishment Politician.

I'm a Person doing a Politician's job. This the only way we will be represented.

Your not donating to our campaign. You are investing in our District. Thank you.

Why me over a "Safe Democrat"?

Safe or not, the Democrats have lost the trust of the Country. They have admitted to "tipping the scale" under oath, against Bernie Sanders. Then they point the finger at Russia. It's no wonder they have lost the Senate, the House, and to Trump. There was only one person that would lose to Trump and it happened, with the aide of the "Safe Democrats".

What does a "Safe Democrat" mean to me? Well, the one in my District has been Safe since 1990. Which means, what the party wants, the party gets or there will be ressistance. #Resist in the Democratic Party means, stop all progressives at all costs. Look at all the amazing progressives that Bernie has brought to the party only to continuously get their faces slammed by the door.

A "Safe Democrat" since 1990 has voted for NAFTA, TPP, Citizens United, Prisons for Profits, Fracking, Iraq War, stood beside a rigged election, and the Wall St Bail Out, amongst other things. I'm not saying that my opponent voting for all these things, but 2 or 3 is bad enough.

As a "Guaranteed Green" I will not vote against the people, gauranteed. Specially since I'm not beholden to Big Pharma, Big Oil, and or Corporations. As a "Guaranteed Green", Single Payer would get a guaranteed vote. As a "Guaranteed Green", I guarantee to fight for renewable energy and against anymore refineries. As a "Guaranteed Green" I will push for Infastructure. As a "Guaranteed Green", I feel we need way more Community Gardens. Solar, because going Green is Guaranteed.

If you're a Democrat, I suggest instead of voting "Safe", try voting "Smart" this time. I guarantee you won't regret it.

To all my Greens let's make history.

To all my Progressives, let's rewrite politics away from the corporations and back in the people's hands.

It's Time. The choice is yours, Safe Democrat or Guaranteed Green?
