Malcolm Kenyatta is a community advocate helping to lead #theresistance in Philadelphia. Now we need him in Harrisburg!

He serves on a number of local nonprofit and political organization boards including as Co-Chair of the Liberty City Democratic Club, Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse, and was appointed President of the Philadelphia Chapter of National Organization for Women's Education Fund. He is also a political consultant and commentator who has worked with a numerous campaigns including as campaign manager for the first openly LGBT municipal candidate ever endorsed by the Philadelphia Democratic Party.

He has also appeared frequently on FOX News, Al Jazeera and other local and national outlets. Malcolm was elected as Delegate to the 2016 Democratic Convention (PA 2nd) with just under 82,000 votes, garnering the second highest vote total of any delegate in the state. He was an active surrogate in the 2016 election for the Democratic nominee for President.  Malcolm has been the recipient of a number of local and national honors for his work, including the Lax Award, BMe Leader Award (Knight Foundation), Friends of the Urban Affairs Coalition Leadership Award, the Congressman Lucien Blackwell Guiding Light Award, and the President's Volunteer Service Award from the Obama Administration.

He is the grandson of noted civil rights leader Muhammad Kenyatta who ran in the Democratic primary for Mayor of Philadelphia in 1975. You'll probably find him on the front lines of a protest or leading community education programming with Civic Saturdays. Your support will give him the push he needs to rise, resist, and run for the PA House!
