Big Mark for Michigan's 4th Congressional District. Rolling with you, not against; delivering on promises everyday.

Biography

Mark Bignell was born in 1979 at Sheridan Community Hospital. He was raised in the country, in the village named Palo. Coming into adulthood, he quickly learned the value of honest hard work and providing for himself. Fiercely independent, Mark thrived and eventually attended Baker College of Owosso, after graduating Ionia Public Schools in 1999, being given The Scholarship Award.

Education was interrupted at Baker, when his mother fell into economic distress. Upon his return home, dropping out of school, a foreclosure was issued on his family home. That winter in 2000/2001, he spent homeless, with his mother, sister, and brother. This ended, in the spring of 2001, when a landlord in Stanton rented to them. That spring, the family relocated to Stanton, Michigan.

Years later, Mark married and fathered a daughter; while at Montcalm Community College. During his time at MCC, Mark earned an Associates Degree in Accounting; later transferring to Grand Valley State University. While at GVSU, he attended several business conferences, workshops, and sought internships. Also at this time, he fathered his second daughter and after college a son. Then in his final year of his bachelor's program, he was economically forced to withdraw; due to rising tuition, capped financial aid, and a loss of student housing. It was then, he decided to rededicate himself to betterment and he sought training in the trades, by using a Michigan Works program—No Worker Left Behind, attending West Michigan CDL for logistics training.

Upon completing his education/training at West Michigan CDL, he was hired on at a Wisconsin trucking company—Roehl Transport. Later working at Larsen Trucking, then RE West, Mark thrived and felt a renewed sense of self and independence. However, after this final election, Mark realized something had changed in America.

This year stirred a longing to serve, and there was a feeling he must run for office in 2018. Being inspired by the words in the Declaration of Independence, Martin Luther King Jr's I have a dream, and by B.H. Obama's first Inaugural Address, he fully decided to seek the office. Mark realized there was a hunger, a starving in the people, for their voices to be heard. In this realization, he understood, despite his own humble beginnings, he must run. That he must call out the grievances of all common people, and give voice to the ignored.

Meetings

I will be meeting up with The Young Democrats of Grand Rapids, at their scheduled meeting this upcoming Sunday, Aug 6th at 6pm.

In addition, there is a scheduled meeting with Montcalm's County Democrats Aug 21st. I plan to be in attendance.

If all goes well at these meetings, I will be officially declared as a candidate by the date of this year's solar eclipse, Aug 31 2017.

Might as well, make the declaration a show, that only an eclipse can upstage.
