I have spent almost four years, as a leader of Preserve Rural Milton assertively advocating for preservation of rural character in Milton.  In the past 4 years, our community has watched helplessly as over 70 subdivisions were added to our city with subsequent loss of greenspace and rural character. The city leadership has continued to focus on traditional tools for development to address controlling growth. It is time to stop doing the same thing and expecting different results.

We can have a balance between preservation and development. The reality is the only way to truly protect Milton is through the use of  tools designed specifically for preservation and other controls correlated with quality of life of current residents.

Milton's development will continue on the current path unless we change course, NOW.  There are excellent proven methods to address to address our city's problems. However, the city needs new leadership open to best practices, flexible problem-solving and creativity and that will never stop looking for the best solutions.

I support the entire community. I believe in property owner rights and community rights. I believe in win-win solutions.

I have no connections to the development or building industry. The only land I own in the city is my own 7 acre farm which I intend to put under a conservation easement.

I am facing a tough race with a long time incumbent.  It is critical to get the word out and connect to the entire community through campaign materials and yard signs.

Please DONATE now to help me spread the word that there is an alternative to status quo.

“I support Laura Rencher for Mayor of Milton because she is a candidate who bases her ideas and policies on well researched facts and not her beliefs. She has been an advocate on behalf of her neighbors for many years and I look forward to seeing the positive changes that she can make in an official capacity representing and more importantly listening to all of the citizens of Milton and not just the privileged & well connected ones.”
