I am a San Mateo native and graduate of the San Mateo/Foster City School District. My teachers at Park School, Abbott Middle and San Mateo High provided educational opportunities that deeply impacted and empowered me. These experiences inspired me to run for School Board, so that all of our students can reach their potential.

I have first-hand experience with our public schools as an involved parent and PTA-member. My six year old son attends Fiesta Gardens International School, where I serve as the Padres Unidos/PTA Liaison.

I am a social worker by trade and have dedicated my career to working with foster youth and people with disabilities. I value diversity in my friendships and community, and I enjoy working with people from all walks of life. As the child of immigrants, I am bi-lingual and multicultural. I bring a unique perspective that will advance education equity and community engagement to better our schools and neighborhoods.

Thank you so much!

Hi there,

I have great news! Thanks to your support I was able to file my candidate statement Friday. Thank you, I am so grateful!

Filing a statement that will go out to every voter in San Mateo and Foster City was definitely something I'd never imagined doing. It felt amazing knowing that I am not in this alone. I have you and a diverse community behind me every step of the way. You can see a picture I posted on my Facebook page after filing here

The San Mateo Daily Journal put out an article yesterday summarizing the local city council and school district races. They listed all of the SMFCSD board candidates and actually listed my name first describing me as a social worker and political activist. Read the article here

The energy around my campaign is promising and yet there are only 3 seats open and 7 other candidates vying for one of those seats. If we are to win this we can't be complacent. Next steps include fundraising for mailers and lawn signs as well as organizing my voter outreach efforts. You can help by sharing my candidacy and campaign information with your networks and by signing up to volunteer on my website under the connect page.

Please share any thoughts or connections you have that might be helpful and remember you are appreciated.
