I am running to represent the true interests of the citizens of our district, to preserve our democracy, and to combat corporate agendas from outside of our state that threaten to override the needs of the people.

Whether we are Tea Party, Democrats, Independent Voters, compassionate, Christian, or Moderate Republicans, or just not even interested in politics, I would like to see us come together for common sense solutions for our needs. These needs include access to affordable Healthcare, Fair Taxes, Fair Wages, support of Quality Education, and support of Small Business.

Strong families with freedom and disposable income are necessary for a strong future.

I have a Master’s degree in Architecture from Tulane University. I worked as an Architectural Designer and Coordinator for 13 years, including several multi-million dollar projects in Missouri, Louisiana, New Mexico and Arizona. From having this experience in the competitive business world, I know I have what it takes to lead a campaign for federal office and later work with key players to do what is best for Arizona. My daughter Alina is a National Honor Society member. She is 23 years old now, living close by and developing her career as a writer. I moved to Sedona, Arizona as a single parent in 2002 from Missouri, where I was raised. Two of my brothers served in Iraq, both returned. My brother Josh died 5 weeks after his return in a car accident. My family and I know the sacrifice of soldiers and military families, I will do my part to advocate for soldiers' health, particularly to advocate prevention of PTSD in our highly trained soldiers. I have enjoyed living in Prescott Valley for the last two years, still commuting to Sedona three days a week for my work.

This campaign will be about serving the people of northwestern and central Arizona that Congressional District 4 encompasses. As opposed to the incumbent, Paul Gosar, I will support healthy expression of opinion on social media, I will work with both parties to fix the problems of the Affordable Care Act, while keeping the aspects from which regular Americans benefits. Most of all I will practice Fiscal Responsibility, which to me means maintaining the current tax rate for wealthy individuals making over $500,000 a year. I believe allowing the National Debt to go unabated is a national security issue, and neglect of this issue by the Republican majority Congress is specifically what urged me to run.

I am running as a Patriot to Democracy and the US Constitution, which I hold dear. I see that our country is in crisis, and I see myself as a mediator to help bring our country to reasonable decisions from which we can all benefit. I am a Moderate and I understand both conservative and progressive viewpoints. If you want to learn more of my Platform Positions, I suggest that you visit my website, www.Perez2018.org.

This campaign is building on grassroots and understanding the needs of the different areas of the district, which includes seven counties and nine Legislative districts.

I am meeting with both citizens and business owners to best determine the best path for our future well-being.

We need big and small business to flourish, while supporting workers' rights and education.

When elected, I will work to reel in military spending and hold corporations accountable, with an alternative minimum tax law to make sure corporations are contributing to the stable society from which they benefit.

We make an important impact in democracy when we use the power of our vote and we choose our representatives.

I am still working my regular job as I run in this campaign. I do not qualify for Clean Election campaigning, since I am not running for a state office or for President. I am filed with the Federal Election Commission, and the rules do not allow me to collect any salary until the nomination petitions are due for the primary in our state, which is mid-May. This means that money collected will not go for me personally, but only helps build the capacity of the campaign.

Last election the incumbent, Tea Party Republican Paul Gosar, was able to raise $700,000 to help him get re-elected. I am aiming for about $400,000 in individual contributions. This will cover future printed mailings, travel expenses and getting into radio, Facebook ads and TV spots towards Summer and early Fall of 2018. If people contribute $10-$100 a month for the next 14 months, this will help boost this campaign and help my message to reach all the people of this district.

Thank you for your support. Please spread the word. You contribute by volunteering, spreading the word, but most of all voting. Please check your registration and consider whether Permanent Early Voting works best for you.

I am excited about representing the people in a reasonable way and helping to bring both sides closer to the center, so we can make policies that work better for us as a whole.

I am working to Defend Democracy, Protect our Resources, and Support the Middle Class.

“I have known Ana for over 30 years and fully support her run for Congress. I can't think of anyone I know who has more integrity and passion for the truth and fairness than Ana. Please support her campaign and let's get people who will fight for to 99%, instead of the Oligarchy and Corporations.”
