Ben Bartlett is running for Assembly because everyone in the East Bay deserves a home.

The fight is right here. The time to act is right now.

Lots of politicians talk about fighting President Trump. But Ben knows the real fight is to solve the problems that plague our communities here at home.

We fight Trump when we house the homeless, create green jobs, and protect our freedom.

We fight Trump when we solve displacement and economic inequality. And when we extend the circle of opportunity to everyone, we win the fight.

Working with Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguín and his colleagues on the Berkeley City Council, Ben led the efforts to create the nation’s first public anti-displacement advocate and to create a new model of housing for the homeless that is gaining national attention. Ben is fighting for equitable development and reforms to discriminatory zoning laws that wall off communities of color, seniors and low-income families. As an environmental lawyer and activist, Ben has dedicated his career to uniting industry and government to address climate change, alleviate poverty with green jobs and expand opportunity for everyone. These are big issues that go beyond our city limits – and the time is now to take our East Bay values and East Bay solutions and make them a priority in the State Assembly. Everyone in the East Bay deserves a home. Join us today and become a part of this movement to guarantee a better future for the East Bay and for all California. All doors open!

“I support Ben Bartlett for Assembly because the basic needs of human beings should come before anything. Affordable housing is as necessary as food for humans.”

“I am supporting Ben Bartlett because he is common sense and no nonsense about housing issues, small business challenges and the needs of seniors. He leads. He’s innovative. He’s a good listener and he asks good questions. We need a new kind of leadership. We need creativity, honesty and someone who will fight for getting things done that will at the end of the day help people and not just advance his own career. He’s not afraid of hard issues and hard work. President Obama’s desk had a plaque on it that said, “Hard work is hard.” I know Ben lives by that belief too. I have worked along side Ben as a commissioner and on the task force he created to promote affordable housing in every neighborhood in Berleley by making it easier to build ADU’s. He has vision and he knows how to execute that vision.”

“Ben stepped up to the plate and because he did I no longer live in a tent. I have a very nice one bedroom apartment which I can afford. Thanks Ben you ave always been there for the community and this old bum appreciates it.”

  • Alfred Twu endorsed

“Ben has progressive goals combined with a practical approach to housing. Together this is what it'll take to have a progressive state that more can afford and find a place to live in.”
