Right now, we have leaders that don't believe in basic science....and that is not OK.

I am a PhD trained scientist, who has worked my entire life on Climate Change and Sustainable Agriculture related projects. I have worked on making decision support systems and models that predict the effects of Climate Change on the terrestrial biosphere. I am a second generation Native Nevadan, I truly love this place and the people that live in it. If politicians are going to make decisions that affect our lives, I believe they need to first learn how to think and process information. I will make decisions based on the best available information.

I am not a liar, a thief, a megalomaniac, or anyone who wants to be in the spotlight. I would actually prefer to be left alone, but the world is in a dire situation, and I think we need people qualified to make decisions.

I am running for Congress in Nevada's third district, and need to raise money to get on the ballot and pay for campaign costs. Please share this page or contribute a few bucks if you want to join the fight.

Update from Guy's bid for public office

Thank you for your support!!

This thing is starting to pick up some momentum. Let me tell you more about how all this started and what is going on. Some friends had mentioned to me that I should run for office. The other day I was listening to NPR and they mentioned this website Crowdpac, where the public could express interest in running for candidacy and start to raise funds.

I started a site for myself, and since have been contacted by Crowdpac staff as they have not seen anyone get so much interest so quickly. I have also been contacted by people willing to provide legal assistance, campaign advice, and even information security.

I am in this because I don't think we have been putting the right people in positions of power, who are making decisions with no firm understanding of science, on issues such as: climate change, water infrastructure, transportation, agriculture, education, social justice, and women's re-productive rights.

I don't care what religion you are, what gender, color, economic background....hell I don't even care who you voted for. Living sustainably is a survival thing at this point. Killing earth = killing ourselves.

Crowdpac is going to send me more information on what I need to do to get on the ballot (application dates, signatures, etc.), and others on my team are going to help me put a campaign together.

In the meantime, please share my page with anyone you think might be interested!!
