David Westcott, Jr. of York County, Virginia is considering running for the constitutional office of Commissioner of Revenue for York County. Mr. David Westcott has served in both leadership roles and consulting roles for York County for a number of years. David holds a Masters of Business Administration from Liberty University where he graduated with honors. On a local level, Mr. Westcott started out as a citizen member of the Transportation Safety Board through which he worked his way to the elected role as Vice-Chair. He also serves as the Chairman of the Legislative Policy and Publicity Committee where he works for both constituents of York and serves the Board of Supervisors in their yearly legislative packages that are sent off to the General Assembly. Through his voluntary duties as chair, and vice chair he understands the complexities of all departments through the local and state government. David has been successful in bringing individuals together from various departments to bring successful outcomes through both county and residential projects. In 2007, David started his career at Supervalu Inc. as a bagger for a local grocery retail chain while he was working his way through college studying business administration. In his 9 1/2 year service to Supervalu he was able to move from the unheard of bagger to one of the youngest and most influential team members and corporate intern the company has seen its long history. 

As time and technology changes we need a fresh perspective and start to a more brighter future where technology and customer service is met with open arms. His mission for the revenue office is "We are in the business to serve our citizens, our commitment is to provide the greatest service to have the most capable technology, friendly team members and quick and concise resolutions. We should be committed to our associates who should deliver World Class Services". The commissioners job should pledge to present the constituents an unwavering commitment to superior service through which will produce a highly satisfying and zero wait time experience. And ongoing innovation to meet the ever changing needs of both citizens and locality alike. Once elected as Commissioner of the Revenue, David Westcott will offer quick response and action based FAIR service through the personal property tax appeal service. This will allow citizens to easily appeal the value of their vehicle and have it evaluated in a FAIR and EQUAL manner on the spot. A project that has been adopted by many throughout this Commonwealth.
