Michael Wayne Gates, known as Mickey Gates, is a businessman from Hot Springs, Arkansas, who is currently serving his second term as a Republican member of the Arkansas House of Representatives for District 22, which encompasses portions of Garland and Saline counties.
Representative Gates has officially filed to run for re-election for a third term to the Arkansas House in the 2018 election. Campaigns can’t be run and won without financial backing and support. Representative Gates needs your help in achieving the financial targets required to win this election and to continue the progress that he has been making on your behalf and for the state of Arkansas.

Representative Gates' Background and Experience:
For the 91st General Assembly, Representative Gates serves on the House Education Committee and the House Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs Committee where he chairs the subcommittee on Aging. Representative Gates also serves on the Joint Budget Committee, and Joint Performance Review.
From 1994 to 2014, Representative Gates was an elected member of the Garland County Quorum Court. In addition, he has been chairman of the Garland County Republican Party and the Garland County Young Republicans. Mickey was a founding board member for the Change Point Pregnancy Care Center in Hot Springs.
Representative Gates is president of The Stonebridge Collection, a company in Hot Springs, which is the nation’s largest producer of custom logo pocket knives.
Mickey and his wife, the former Susan Jeanette Whitten, have two children, Elizabeth Gates and Ben Gates.
