It can be done.

In 2018, we can build a state government that focuses on elevating the quality of life for all Texans.  A state government where its leaders work on behalf of the people they represent.  A state government that seeks to work on solutions and strategies that break down barriers instead of creating them.

We will build this state government by elected qualified candidates in every district.

I am running for Texas State Senate in District 17.

I am running because I believe in People First.

For nearly 10 years, District 17 has been represented by a Senator who used her position to champion bills that are harmful to Texas communities.  She has used her vote to block equal pay for equal work.  She has used her vote to stop the raising of minimum wage.  She has used her vote to continue to regulate women’s’ bodies. Most recently, she used her vote to say our state can legally discriminate against Texas communities.

As an attorney and community advocate, I have worked alongside other amazing people in the quest for equal access to opportunity for everyone.  I have a strong record of speaking up for and working on behalf of the communities I serve, organizations I’ve led and the legal clients I represent.

Sending me to Austin as District 17's State Senator means sending a qualified candidate who will use her strengths, skills, talent, values, and passion for equality, equity, and access for all Texans. To work on people-centered solutions and legislation that elevate the quality of life for the people of Texas.

I am ready to serve as District 17’s State Senator.  However, I cannot do it alone.  District 17 is a large three-county district.  Your contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 or $1,000 will help us purchase campaign postcards, media ads (online, print, and radio), and setup a campaign HQ with a successful phone banking system.

Your contribution will help elect a Senator that will put the People First!

“I endorse Fran Watson because she has fought for Texans for years. She is not afraid of confrontation and standing up for what is right. I know with Fran on the job, things will get done!”
