From her Bucks County upbringing to her time in the Navy, service has been at the center of Rachel Reddick’s life. After serving in the Navy during World War II, Rachel’s grandfather returned to Bucks County to raise his family. He opened a small plumbing business which Rachel’s uncle still runs today. Her father continued the tradition of Naval service as a pilot during Vietnam before also returning home to start his family. Rachel’s parents gave back to their community through their church and as foster parents.

Rachel was inspired by her family to serve her community and her country. She graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia and returned home to work as a legal advocate for survivors of domestic abuse with A Woman’s Place, the Bucks County Domestic Violence Agency. After aiding survivors through the judicial system Rachel decided to pursue a law degree at Rutgers Law School. She followed in her father and grandfather’s footsteps and joined the U.S. Navy as a Judge Advocate General (JAG).

Rachel served on active duty for six years as a military prosecutor, advisor to military commanders, and representative for service members. In 2012, she was appointed as a Special United States Attorney and prosecuted for the Navy in federal court. In 2013, Rachel deployed on an amphibious warship in the Pacific, the same seas her Grandfather served in during WWII.

Her time as a Naval officer taught her the importance of fighting for what you believe in, looking out for her fellow sailors, and coming together to accomplish the mission. She will apply these same lessons in Congress. Rachel will listen to her community and get tough on Wall Street, protect hard-working families on Main Street, combat the opioid epidemic, safeguard our health care, and fight to deliver better schools and good-paying jobs.

Rachel met her husband Nick, a Federal prosecutor, while they both served in the Navy. She and Nick are raising their son Sawyer in Bucks County just a few miles from where Rachel grew up. She continues to serve as an officer in the Naval reserves.
