Kathy Tran is running for the Virginia House of Delegates to fight for the American values that brought her family here. Kathy's family fled Vietnam as boat refugees. On the voyage, Kathy grew so sick she almost died at sea.
She went on to earn multiple degrees and became a public servant at the U.S. Department of Labor, helping veterans and their spouses acquire the job training and employment services they needed to achieve the American Dream.
Kathy will fight for our values – strengthening public schools by lowering classroom sizes and raising teacher salaries, expanding access to affordable healthcare and defending women's access to critical health services, and fighting for equal pay for equal work.
