Service to one's community is truly a labor of love. Over the last 15 years, I’ve dedicated my professional life to serving my neighbors, right here in Chicago. From adult education to emergency preparedness; from youth mentorship to workforce development, and then into the world of government -- I have found the greatest joy in knowing that the work I have done has helped my community.
Service is a privilege that I do not take lightly, and there are voices in this district that need amplifying; there are gaping chasms of inequity in access to resources and the kinds of investments that all communities should see, not just those with the most privilege and affluence. I hope to be able to count on you for support as I embark on this journey to represent a district I’ve lived in for most of my life.
With your help I can elevate the voices that have gone unheard for too long; with your help I can earn the privilege of serving my community in a way that values the whole and not just the privileged few. Your support on this journey means you believe in my progressive values and ideals; your support on this journey means you believe in my commitment to the people.
United we stand… divided we fall.
