Sam Ortiz is running for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5, in Denton  County. Sam has lived in Denton County for 9 years with his wife, Karen, and 5 children, whose ages range from 5 to 20. 

Sam is currently the pretreatment coordinator for the city of Gainesville. Sam has been working with city governments off and on for 11 years, dealing with government regulation, state laws, and city code. 

He has served on the planning and zoning board in Walsenburg, Colorado, and is currently serving on the health and building standards commission for the City of Denton. 

Sam has volunteered his time to help children as an assistant coach for youth baseball, and as a Cub Scout Master for Troop 252. He serves as the treasurer for the Latino Democrats of Denton County, as well as a precinct chair for Precinct 1011 in Denton. 

We ask for your support in his run for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5. Sam plans to bring a common sense approach to the justice system.
