SEAN KILKENNY is a lifelong resident of Northeast Philadelphia.  Sean attended St. Matthew’s Elementary School and graduated from Father Judge High School.  KILKENNY became an apprentice with the Plasterers’ Union Local 8 in 2001.  Sean was elected to the Plasterers’ Executive Board in 2004 and served for 11 years. KILKENNY was appointed as an International Field Representative in 2006.  Sean traveled the country fighting for
livable wages and safer working standards.  KILKENNY is currently a member of the Operative Plasterers & Cement Masons
International Local 592.  Sean is an active youth basketball coach at St. Matthew’s Parish, a member of AOH Division 39, and a lifetime member of the Mayfair Civic Association.

Sean KILKENNY is running for State Representative in Pennsylvania’s 177th Legislative District.  The blue collar and row house values that have been ingrained in him since birth are under continual attack from non-union supporting politicians in Harrisburg.  KILKENNY is choosing to no longer sit on the sidelines watching our ideals are being confronted.  Sean believes that with a collaborative effort we can achieve our goals in Harrisburg that will secure prosperity for organized labor and working families.

Politics has become more partisan and polarized, the voice of everyday workers in Pennsylvania is being drowned out by special interest groups.  Sean KILKENNY's campaign is based on refusing to let our way of life become attacked by the right-to-work agenda of those who don’t know the value of eight hours pay for eight hours work.  Sean believes that his ability to build relationships will help foster positive principles across the aisle of the Pennsylvania legislature and further strengthen our cause.  Sean KILKENNY knows, first hand, how valuable collective bargaining and organized labor are to working families.
