Just over 10 years ago, I met my wonderful wife in New Braunfels, Texas. At the time we had no idea what would be in store for us in this great community.

As your District One Council Member, I will work with you to maintain the aspects of New Braunfels that so many have come to cherish while working to make improvements that have long been necessary. With your help and input, I plan to address public safety concerns, infrastructure, facilities and drainage, and improving neighborhood streets & sidewalks.

Public safety and ensuring that our police and fire departments have the resources they need must continue to be a top priority of City Council. Our District’s Fire Station, NBFD #2, was built over 40 years ago and the facility has become obsolete and inadequate. Building a new Fire Station #2 must be an immediate priority, and I will work to see that funding is secured during my term. I value our Police Department, and I understand that making sure that our department is adequately funded is an investment that insures the safety of our families.

District One’s neighborhood streets need to be rehabilitated. We cannot simply maintain potholes. We need to keep our roads in the best condition possible. To do this means making funding for street repair and maintenance a priority for our City Council in the years ahead. I want to see that sidewalks are installed throughout our neighborhoods, providing children a safe route to school and residents a way of reaching parks and other local amenities. I understand the value of maintaining our neighborhoods and doing things right the first time will achieve the most efficient long-term success. I value our downtown neighborhoods, and preserving and protecting the heart of our community will be my priority.

As a resident of New Braunfels I have had the pleasure of serving our community on the board of directors for CASA of Central Texas, the YMCA, the City’s Downtown Board, and the New Braunfels Jaycees. Through my involvement in these and other organizations, I have quickly learned what makes this community special: its people, its opportunities, its beauty.

I humbly ask for your vote in the upcoming special election on February 17th. I believe that with your input and involvement we can work to preserve the small-town values that so many have come to enjoy while addressing the infrastructure needs that many citizens have brought to the attention of Council. I want to be your District One City Council Member. I need your support!
