My evolution started with being startled by what happened to Mike Brown, Eric Garner, Philando Castile, Alton Sterling and many other black men.  Police misconduct, and the criminal Justice system being slanted against people of color is what got me fired up and moving towards a life of activism.

That energy turned into a stint with the National Action Network (DC Chapter), a school year as a Mentor for Young men in DC, and then I met the good folks of Progressive Maryland at the Rise Up Convention in Washington, D.C.    That evolved into me becoming the Education lead for Progressive Prince George’s and now a candidate for School Board in my home town.

I believe that Prince George's County is an amazing place to live with lush greenery, tons of parks, lots of educated and informed voters and citizens.  There are improved shopping, dining and entertainment options, the one element keeping Prince George's County from being an exclusive suburban enclave is a world class school system.

I believe that our school systems’ results right now don't match the investment that tax payers are making.  I'd like to see a more challenging curriculum put in place, more parental engagement, and integrity and efficiency in our budget planning.

As a member of the Board of Education I will be a staunch advocate for parents, teachers and students.   I will make sure that we aren't harshly punishing students for minor offenses and perpetuating the school to prison pipeline.  I'm also a big believer in, and defender of public education.  I believe that when fully funded and efficiently budgeted it works.

If you believe what I believe.  Pull the lever for me, Rob Anthony this June in our primary election.

Black Voter Summit 2/24/2018

2018 is a very important year in our political history.

Our elections have been hacked and interfered with by foreign entities.   Districts have been Gerrymandered, and efforts have been made to suppress black votes.

Our ancestors from just a couple generations ago marched across Edmund Pettis Bridge to register to vote.   We must not forget their sacrifice.

February 24th 2018 in Greenbelt

We will discuss the importance of black voters and our affect on elections and policy.

More details to come
