After intense deliberation and counsel with my family, friends and the residents of Trenton, I have some exciting news to share. I am happy to announce my candidacy for the position of Trenton City Councilman at Large. I look forward to running a positive campaign about the issues and earning your trust and hopefully your vote.

Trenton is a place pregnant with promise. As a native, long time resident, former educator, active civic participant and current organizer working in Trenton, I have witnessed from the streets, board rooms, and classrooms the rich potential of our fair city. I know that we have what it takes.

Our citizens want what other communities want: clean streets, safe corridors, and a responsive and responsible municipal government that solves problems rather than create them. From my talks with Trentonians and my own experience, I know that our city elected officials must focus on how to be good stewards of public resources and proponents of solid progressive public policy.

Our city council members must address several challenges: redefining our relationship with state government, being good stewards of public utilities, exercising effective oversight of the city's executive branch, how to best ensure that our young people have the academic and career experiences that best equip them to be productive members of society, and how to make sure that Trenton is a safe and vibrant center of our regional economy.

If you are interested in supporting my vision for Trenton, please donate to my campaign. I look forward to working with you in seeing Trenton be all that it can be.
