I'm running for District Court Judge to serve the residents of Mecklenburg County.

During 20+ years of practice, I've represented the indigent, the affluent, and everyone in between.  I started out with The Legal Aid Society; I  was a full time law guardian (guardian ad litem) with the Children's Rights Society; I've been in private practice, with both big firms and small firms, and now I own and operate my law firm.  I've practiced criminal law; family law; landlord tenant law; juvenile law, including abuse, neglect, and truancy law; domestic violence; trusts and estates;  probate; contracts and several other areas of the law.

I believe a District Court Judge should be patient, knowledgeable, and respectful to all litigants, attorneys and court personnel.  I pledge that in my courtroom, you will have an opportunity to tell your story, make your arguments, and get a fair and timely ruling.  To the attorneys who appear before me, I pledge to be mindful of your time and to be respectful to you.  I will not talk over you or take the bench with my mind made up.  I will read all papers filed or handed up to make a fair, reasoned decision.
