Tami is running for the 14th Middlesex District because she believes that powerful special interests are robbing middle class families of the right to the American Dream and a healthy, sustainable future. Our Constitution made a promise that ensures all people have opportunities to succeed. Tami will fight every day on Beacon Hill to make this promise a reality for middle class and working families throughout the Commonwealth.

Tami is committed to standing up for the many ways in which people from diverse backgrounds can work together to create the just, free, sustainable, and equitable future to which we all aspire. As a progressive Democrat, Tami has built a solid reputation as an effective advocate for social change and has worked to solve many of society’s most challenging problems to ensure that people have what they need to succeed.

As an experienced policy advocate, Tami has crafted legislation to protect youth from the devastation of addiction, secured funding to address the opioid crisis, and conducted environmental health policy research to support passage of bills at the state level. Throughout her career, Tami has advocated for a variety of causes, including single payer healthcare, paid family leave, a living wage, criminal justice reform, reproductive justice, voter access, and saving the social safety net upon which many vulnerable families rely.

As a resident of Lowell, and now of Acton, Tami has been active in her communities. She was a volunteer at Alternative House, a domestic violence shelter, where she provided counseling and crisis support to women and their children experiencing domestic violence. Currently, Tami is a member of the Acton Democratic Town Committee, the Acton Nursing Services Advisory Committee, First Parish Church of Stow & Acton, the League of Women Voters–Acton Area, the Sisterhood at Congregation Beth Elohim, the Rotary Club of Acton-Boxborough, and the Three Rivers Affinity Group chapter of Progressive Massachusetts.

Tami graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a BA in politics where she studied policy making and environmental justice. She later earned Master of Social Work and Master of Public Health degrees from Boston University; she is currently exploring effective opioid policies for a Doctorate of Public Health. Tami lives in Acton with her two teenage sons who attend Acton-Boxborough schools.
