My family is from East Tn...I grew up as a TK....my dad and grandfather were teachers and school principals. I grew up with loving parents who kept home and hearth together on a teacher and school bookkeepers salaries. Believe me we watched what we spent, accounted for every dollar, and they made it work.

I’m married with a grown daughter and two bonus children about to turn 18 and 21. Like most folks, we work for a living and deal with making ends meet at the end of the month.

My sweet wife drives an 11 year old car and my Jeep is about to turn 23! And like a lot of folks, you work harder but it just doesn’t seem to show up in your paycheck.

I’m running because I’ve been following what comes from our General Assembly in Nashville...and I see a lot of nonsense.....but not a lot of Common Sense

----

Too much walking the Washington party line and not enough working for all of the people of Tennessee and the the 11th district. We need to remind our elected officials they work for us!

So....here’s what I would work toward if elected.

I will meet with anyone or wanting to discuss the important things for and about our district and our state. And...I'll be ready not only to engage, but to listen.

I believe every citizen has the same rights granted by our Constitution, be they male, female, straight, gay, transgendered....black, white, brown or any combination there of....

• I believe in common sense...responsible gun ownership...including universal background checks, banning assault and military type weapons and smaller magazines limits....however, I do believe in the 2nd amendment rights. We also know common sense suggest easy access to assault weapons is not a good idea. As far as guns teachers in schools...the only thing we should arm teachers with is better funding and better salaries.

• I believe public schools are a cornerstone of our republic and our economy.

• I believe everyone should have the right to affordable healthcare and to determine their own medical care, along with their doctor. No one has the right to tell another person what they can or can’t do with their own body...especially when it relegates what amounts to half the population to second class citizenship.

And finally...I think we should welcome refugees seeking freedom and a better life to Tennessee and embrace a variety of cultures....it only makes us ...stronger!

I’m Randy Price....and I’d appreciate your vote.

Your support means so much!

Things are getting busy as we approach the August primary and the November election.  I’ve had the opportunity to meet with and speak to different groups across the district and hear what you have to say. The biggest concern I hear is Healthcare followed by schools and education and getting workers pay to rise with the business success in Tennessee. These are the common sense ideas we need our state government to work for, not against.  Your support means the world to me and will help us put some common sense back in the General Assembly!

As a grass roots campaign I depend on your investment to run this campaign.  Right now we need to get our yard signs so we’ve set a goal to raise $5,000 by the filing deadline at the end of the month. Please donate today!

Thank You!

Randy
