My names is Casey Satterlee. I am married to Lisa and have two amazing little boys Lewis and Ayden who are in public schools. We absolutely love their teachers and would not have it any other way. I have been a teacher for 14 years in this great state. I graduated from Edmond, and have lived in OK my entire life. This is my hometown. This is my community. This is my purpose!
As a teacher, I have felt the direct impact of all the budget cuts to education over the last 10 years. I have students who have never known what a funded classroom looks like. My students are my kids, and I see their hurt, their pain, their struggles with day to day living. I also get to see their successes when they overcome a hurdle whether in the classroom or in their lives.
I chose to run because I feel our community has been neglected and not listened to for far too long. We need to work together to build our community stronger. No more far left or far right politics. It has not worked to our benefit. It is time to work together, compromise, find middle ground that will benefit all of us and our children's futures. It is time for the individual agendas to stop, and realize the purpose of representing you is to speak for you and work for you.
I have struggled within my own classroom, I have spent countless dollars for my classroom and my students. My children's teachers have had to ask for donations, and raise money to get the materials they need for their classrooms. For OUR children. This is unacceptable. We must find the funds to fully fund education as a number one priority. Then we need to build our other public services such as DHS, mental health services, medical care to name a few. It is time to prioritize our state's needs before we will ever be able to have a strong foundation for economic growth.

“I like the way he sees hw value in Education. He realizes far left or right doesnt work and he is running against Calvey who is, in my opinion, the most close minded person i have ever personally met. We need change and it starts here!”
