I am a Transgender woman running as a Democrat in a special election to fill the vacated district 20 state senate seat. I am running a grassroots campaign. South Carolina need to improve its schools and roads. There needs to be campaign finance reform since the reason the seat is vacant because the previous seat holder plead guilty to campaign finance fraud.  LGBTQ rights are human rights and I will be able to look them in the eye when they try to pass discriminatory legislation. Women should be able to their own informed healthcare decisions without government interference and all insurance plans should cover women’s  wellcare. We need to keep rivers and streams clean for recreation and fishing. I will work to accomplish as much as I can to help all of the people of South Carolina.

“Now is the time to take a stand with our community. Dayna is that candidate. It is time for the workers to have a voice in the State Senate - and not just the special interest and ultra rich.”

“I believe in what she stands for and demand to see a change in the current, self-serving, bigotry in the current state representatives. Repugnicans have allowed the current situation to develop by not doing the job they were elected to do. However! Democrats had better step up to the plate better than they did in 2016! Hillary Clinton deserved to lose because of her disregard for so many of the American people and their desire to have a real progressive leader (Yes! Bernie Sanders) as their next leader. We can all agree the current administration is a nightmare and, I say, courtesy of the Democratic party and their shortcomings.”
