Leadership That Will RESTORE the Heart of Oak Cliff
Thank you so very much for your interest and support of this very important campaign. District 4 is in dire need of a dedicated and qualified representative who will serve on behalf of the people who live and work here. An effective campaign, especially in the very short amount of time we now have, requires aggressive fundraising and volunteer support.
A little bit about me...
I am a daughter of District 4 as I am tied to this District in many ways. I was raised here, attended schools here, my church is here, and most importantly my family and friends are here as well. I have witnessed first hand the rise and decline of the area over several years and long to see my home - our home - thrive once again. This is a beautiful and historically rich area of Dallas that deserves leadership from someone who is capable, connected, and committed to work for you.
Personally and professionally, I have served this community for many years to improve the lives of many of its residents and businesses. My time as a Human Resources professional allowed me the opportunity to execute my knowledge and experience in recruitment, employee relations, training and safety, organizational planning , employee engagement and development, as well as employment law. I worked for both local and international companies where I authored employee handbooks and was an Administrator for health and investment benefits. As a former Constituent Liaison for Congressional District 30, I worked with city, state, and national leaders as well as with local and national entities for the betterment of what included our beloved District 4. Over the years, I am proud of having been instrumental in recovering in excess of $500K to disadvantaged constituents from various federal agencies. In addition, I was fortunate to have developed impactful relationships with local nonprofits that support the health, wellness, and education for citizens with disabilities, the aging, the homeless, and our youth.
I am a former Dallas County Democratic Precinct Chair and Election Judge. I currently hold memberships with the Dallas NAACP, Prairie View A&M Dallas and National Alumni Associations, and am a Board Advisor for Shared Housing, Inc. of Dallas. I am a Life Member at the Olive Grove Baptist Church where I serve as a member of our choir, Director of Social Media Services, and VP of the Women’s Missionary Society. I am also the proud mother of 2 amazing children, Taylor and Riley, who are my anchor and inspiration every day.
I ask that you offer your ideas, time, and money to support my efforts to ensure that everyone acknowledges Oak Cliff as the “front door” to the Southern Gateway. One must go through this District in order to get to anywhere in southern Dallas County, so we must be at the table to help direct what will effect, and ultimately benefit, us in the near future.
The time to redirect, reaffirm, and RESTORE District 4 is NOW!
