Dana Millbank calls him "Mitch McConnell, the man who broke America".
He continues: "No man has done more in recent years to undermine the functioning of U.S.government. His has been the epitome of unprincipled leadership, the triumph of tactics in service of short-term power."
McConnell has been in the Senate since 1984, and has been re-elected by the citizens of Kentucky five times. He's Trump's puppet master, pulling the strings behind the scenes and in front, systematically destroying Congressional rules and norms and undermining the fabric of our democracy, all in his quest for ultimate power. He a soulless, craven monster.
He once famously pledged to make Barack Obama a one term president. He failed at that, but during 8 years of unprecedented obstruction and tactics of personal destruction, McConnell mired our country in endless legislative battles. He refused to even consider Obama's Supreme Court pick! He's been packing the federal courts with ultra right wing judges. He crammed through a massive tax cut for his billionaire cronies, ballooning the deficit. He blocked the FBI from investigating Russian election interference.
Brett Kavanaugh was the last straw. But don't get mad. Get even.
