Meet Kenny – he’s a grassroots activist, community organizer, and an advocate for healthcare, criminal justice reform, education and combating homelessness. He comes from a low income background, but managed to attend and graduate from Georgetown University, going onto have a successful career in the insurance industry. Upon moving back to the region, he discovered that he was the descendant of Virginian slaves.
Now he wants to use his advocacy and experience to bring a fresh perspective to our county board.
With the right leadership, we can:
- Make investments in our school system to close the achievement gap, end the school-to-prison pipeline, and achieve true equity.
- Re-envision transportation to keep our community moving instead of sitting in traffic.
- Expand the services our county provides to our most vulnerable communities so no one is left behind.
- Bring high-paying jobs to the area to both reduce commuter traffic and boost our local economy.
But to get our message of progress out there, we need your help. Together, let's move Occoquan forward.
