We put up a strong fight in 2018, but there is still work to be done.
This campaign is about more than just flipping this district and voting out Jason Smith -- though, those are both important. This campaign is about laying the groundwork for future Democratic campaigns in this District. Since our last campaign, we’ve seen dormant Democratic committees become active, people in all counties begin to organize, and strong issues like campaign finance reform and raising the minimum wage overwhelmingly passed in this District. Our work is making an impact, and future Democratic candidates will benefit from the work we do this cycle.
The people in Missouri's 8th Congressional District deserve quality and affordable healthcare; well-paying, union jobs; access to internet and strong infrastructure; a good public school system for our children; and a healthy and protected environment. These are all the things I will fight for when elected to Congress.
