WHY I’M QUALIFIED

Dedicated Public Servant: I have worked in public education for the past 5 years as a school psychologist and continue to be amazed every day by the selfless work of our teachers and administrators. Serving the needs of my students has been my honor and privilege.

Long-Time Advocate: I fight for what’s best, not what’s easy. Being an advocate means showing up and listening to those your serve, even when it is uncomfortable. My strength as an advocate for the people is building spaces for discussion, facilitating real conversations for real solutions, and progress.

Active in my Community: From an early age growing up in St. Augustine I enjoyed volunteering my time and doing something for the greater good. Whether it was fundraising or getting petitions signed, I have always been called to duty. I get this from my mother, whose selfless work has guided me by example.

Trusted Leadership Experience: Over the past decade I have held leadership roles on executive boards for clubs and organizations within my professional field and local politics. I step up to the plate and get results, listening to the experts and my fellow board members to act as a team. We are all in this together and we have so much more in common than we do differences. This guiding principle has helped me work across ideological divides for success.
