Lee Kaberlein for Yucaipa City Council.

     I was born into a working class family, but adopted by my grandma when I was five years old. She instilled in me the importance of compassion, and love for my fellow human beings. She taught me how to put myself in another person's shoes, because we all have a story. As a teenager my aunts and uncles stepped in to raise me after my Grandma died. Like everyone, my life was complicated and fraught with conflict. But I learned the importance of working to resolve conflicts in my life.

        As an adult, I developed a heart for serving others, whether it was at my job, or in my daily life, It gave me great joy to help other people in any way I could. I learned that even the simplest things, such as a wave or a handshake could help someone have a better day. I have a heart for serving others, and it is with that heart that I am asking for your vote to help elect me as your councilman.

     I am confident that with your donations, and your votes I can begin to help makeYucaipa a better place to live for everyone, regardless of color or creed, sexual identity, or whether you live in a house or on the street.

     I pledge to every Yucaipian that I will stand in the gap for you.
