Americans and South Dakotans have many problems, real problems. Health care costs are sky rocketing, our road infrastructure is crumbling, opioid/meth addiction is still very real, teachers and nurses aren’t paid well enough, voting districts are gerrymandered, lax gun laws leaves guns in the hands of criminals, and the average American worker hasn’t had a real income increase in 40 years.
I am running so that I can address these real issues, for real people. The republicans have showed us that they do not have any solutions to these problems.
I want to be the politician that I would like to vote for. That is a politician with a moral compass already set, that can give straight and detailed answers to questions about positions. A politician that chooses positions based on their morals, not on some opinion poll. A politician for whom their moral integrity is more important than reelection.
If we are going to build a future worth living in, we need to elect politicians with both sound minds and good hearts.
