Vision: I envision a Mount Prospect that is a more open, inclusive, and affordable community for all residents.

 Platform: I will

  • use my governance, compliance, and legal experience with member organizations to be a good neighbor for all Mount Prospect residents;
  • work to make Mount Prospect a warm, welcoming, and multi-culturally diverse community where every resident feels free to be their authentic self; and
  • advocate for Mount Prospect to increase its environmental sustainability efforts for the sake of our children and their children.

Why I'm running:

I’m running for village trustee to help improve the lives of Mount Prospect residents. My greatest concern right now is for the people and small businesses in our community who are having difficulty making ends meet. It took a long time to recover from the 2008-09 recession. I fear it’s going to take a long time to recover from our country’s current economic disaster brought on by the pandemic, but we need to get started.

I also want to ensure the board decision-making process is more transparent, responsive and inclusive; that greater effort is made to improve Mount Prospect for all its residents while maintaining fiscal responsibility; and focus more attention on ways to make our community even more environmentally sustainable.

What I bring to this role:

One of my unique strengths is my background working for member-based organizations, which by their nature, must serve the WHOLE community. And my specific role in governance and compliance means that I regularly communicate with members on how they can get involved with the organization. I also focus on issues related to conflicts of interest and ethics – important perspectives I would bring to my role as a village trustee.
