Marché Johnson's story:
Marché was raised in North Montgomery and was educated in the Montgomery Public School system. She has first-hand experience with the day-to-day issues impacting the residents of District 3. Inspired by the strong men and women of the community that came before her, Marché Johnson is no stranger to rolling up her sleeves and getting the job done. She had to work tirelessly to overcome several obstacles during her life. From a teenager, whose mother passed away at a young age to becoming a young mother herself, Marché never backed down at the face of adversity. Instead, she rose to the occasion and exceeded the standard.
Marché served this nation selflessly as a member of the United States Army. During her time in the service, Marché dedicated her life to honor and sacrifice both stateside as well as in the Maysan Province in Iraq and Kandahar, Afghanistan. She was the recipient of many awards directly related to her time in service which included: 3 Army Commendation Medals, 6 Army Achievement Medals, 2 Army Good Conduct medals, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, and the Army Service Ribbon. While serving, Marché also earned a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Psychology from Troy University.
District 3 deserves a champion like Marché Johnson serving on the Montgomery City Council.
