- I have ZERO conflicts of interest, unlike my opponent who is an executive at a commercial mowing equipment company (the drainage district mows the bayous).
- I have the skills and experience to serve: A degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University, 12 years of experience working for engineering and construction firms, 15 years consulting as a performance improvement specialist for the world's largest organizations (Exxon, Boeing, Chrysler, Xerox, Nationwide, County of Los Angeles, Bank of New York, more), 15 years analyzing sourcing relationships and contracts, 25 years of management experience, published technology author.
- I've lived in Pearland for 22 years and raised two boys here. I love my city, and I want to help make it better.
- As Drainage District Commissioner, I want to make sure we don't grant developers too many variances from our rules. Cutting corners now can cost the taxpayers of our district later, and my job on this board is to be an advocate for your best interests.
- I want to keep taxes low while still making much needed improvements. With rising property values in the district, I am confident that we can do both.
- The district must adopt the latest rainfall projections from NOAA, as neighboring counties have done, so we can prepare for the actual rainfall coming from these storms.
- It is critical that we be responsive to our citizens, regardless of politics. Storm water doesn’t care how you vote, and everyone deserves representation that will fight for them.
